TV Host & Broadcaster

In 2013 I traded my racing spikes for a microphone and have never looked back.

My love for my television work goes back to 2008 when I missed the Beijing Olympics with injury. I travelled to the games as a member of CBC’s broadcast team and in those ten days I discovered that being in front of the camera gave me a rush. Almost like being on the start line before a big race–I was hooked! I would race for another four years but knew I had found my second calling.

Currently I host a new television series called All-Round Champion.

It’s an unscripted show that kids and parents can watch together. It aired in March 2020 on BYUtv in the US and on TVO in Canada as well as on Canada’s Knowledge Network during the summer. It’s a feel-good challenge series where ten elite athletes competing in each other’s sports and I’m happy to say we’re already hard at work on season two.

I’m also a freelance sports broadcaster and was the host of CBC Sports’ first-ever weekly podcast, Off Guard.

I’ve covered the 2016 summer Olympics for CBC where I co-hosted the closing ceremony from Rio, Brazil and in 2018 I travelled to Korea for the Olympic Winter Games where I co-hosted the Opening Ceremony. Today I’m proud to say that I have now reported on more than twenty different summer and winter sports for the CBC.

In the past I’ve worked as a multimedia journalist.

I started out at CHCH News and I have been a guest co-host for Global’s The Morning Show and a regular contributor to the radio station NEWSTALK 1010 and hosted the 41st Canadian Sport Awards alongside Olympian Alex Despatie.

My next adventure will take me to Tokyo, Japan and Beijing, China for the next Summer & Winter Olympics for CBC Sports.
